I was born and raised in Nagatacho, the home of Japan’s Diet, and since childhood I have been witness to the dynamism of politics. Always hoping that someday I could serve the people of our country as a politician, I gained experience first by devoting myself to the job of a secretary in a major conglomerate. I was then elected to the House of Representatives in 2005 and had been serving the five terms for 19 years.
